Step 1: Click the Start button on the Taskbar and type word to search for the app. In Word, you can insert a built-in text box, select more text boxes from Microsoft Office or draw your own text box. You can customize the various aspects of the text box and we’ll show how to do that. There are features in Microsoft Word that ensure users can customize the text box to their preference. However, the appearance of the text box is not unchangeable. The text also written within the text box has a black font color. By default, the text box in Microsoft apps such as Word has a rectangular shape with black borders. A text box allows you to place and type text anywhere within the document. Like in Microsoft PowerPoint, you can add a text box to a Microsoft Word document.
